About · 00:00:00:00
Built by people who care about frames.
StudioCap is a precision recorder for people who record for a living. Capture on your Mac, watch the take live on your iPhone, and share it the moment it finishes.
What it is
StudioCap records your screen and camera in up to 8K, in ProRes 4444, ProRes 422, HEVC, or H.264. Record screen, camera, or both, with a GPU camera bubble burned into the frame.
It writes to disk in rolling five-minute segments. If the app quits or the power drops, every finished second is already saved. You reopen and recover the take up to the last write.
See it while it records
Turn any iPhone into a wireless confidence monitor. The preview streams from your Mac under 150 ms over WiFi, or under 80 ms over USB, with synced audio and live status: elapsed time, file size, codec, resolution, and dropped-frame warnings.
Discovery is automatic and pairing is a four-digit PIN. No account, no cable required, and no internet.
Share without the wait
When a take finishes, cloud upload turns it into a link. Anyone opens it in a browser with no download and no account, and you get reactions, timestamped comments, and per-track downloads.
Cloud upload and the viewer are in active development and not available yet.
Where it is today
StudioCap is in alpha. The macOS recorder and the iPhone monitor work today and are a one-time purchase, yours to keep. Cloud upload and sharing are being built and will be a subscription on top. Follow progress on the changelog.
