Your recordings stay yours.

StudioCap captures and writes recordings to local disk on your computer. Files never leave your Mac unless you choose to upload one. There is no automatic sync and no background upload.

The monitor streams over your local network or a USB cable, secured with a four-digit PIN. Nothing about the live preview touches the internet or a server. When the two devices are on the same network, they talk directly to each other.

The app and this website run no analytics, advertising, or fingerprinting scripts. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell data because we do not collect it.

Cloud upload and sharing are still in development. When they are available, only the recording you explicitly choose to share is uploaded, tied to an owner token that you hold. You will be able to delete a shared link and its files at any time.

This section will be expanded with specifics before the cloud feature is released.
